Our Journey

From humble beginnings to joining a global network - a look back at key milestones.

Ray Fiander opens his own accountancy practice in Southampton, laying the foundation for what will become one of the city’s best-known independent firms.

Lee Tovell sets up as a sole practitioner in Southampton, working with local businesses and building his own loyal client base.

Ray and Lee decide to join forces, creating Fiander Tovell. Legend has it they even flipped a coin to decide whose name came first, and the rest is history!

Over the decades, the firm grows steadily, expanding services across tax, audit, payroll, and corporate advisory. They also join professional groups like the UK200 Group to stay at the top of their game and support a wider network of clients.

Fiander Tovell takes another big step forward by becoming Fiander Tovell Limited. Their registered office is set at Stag Gates House in Southampton, giving the growing team a strong base of operations.

The firm joins the ETL GLOBAL network, keeping the same local leadership and personal service but now with international reach, expertise, and connections.
