Why Join Fiander ETL?

At Fiander ETL, working in tax is about more than numbers – it’s about people and impact. You’ll enjoy a supportive, collaborative environment where your contribution matters, and you’ll have the chance to develop both technical and advisory skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Your Mission

What you’ll be doing day to day

In this role, you will manage tax compliance for a portfolio of individuals, trusts, and partnerships. You’ll review tax returns prepared by junior team members, prepare returns for more complex clients, and liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve queries. You’ll also advise clients on tax planning opportunities and contribute to the ongoing development of trainees within the tax team.

Who You’ll Work With

The people you’ll collaborate with

You’ll report to a Client Director and work alongside managers and senior managers across all client-facing teams in the firm. Key relationships include client contacts, introducers such as financial and pension advisers, trainees, and other colleagues in the tax team.

What You’ll Bring

Skills and experience we’re looking for

You’ll be highly organised, proactive, and confident in communicating with both clients and junior colleagues. Previous supervisory experience is essential, and tax qualifications such as ATT or CTA are desirable but not mandatory. You’ll work collaboratively, demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, and have the ability to manage client queries and advise on planning opportunities effectively. Part-time applications will be considered.

What We Offer

The benefits and support you’ll receive

This is a varied and rewarding role with a mix of compliance and advisory work. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of clients and personal tax matters, while contributing to the development of colleagues and trainees. Fiander Tovell offers a supportive, collaborative culture where career progression and professional growth are actively encouraged.
